IRS Plan Addresses Reparations
Washington, DC | The U.S. Treasury Department today outlined their proposal to resolve the question of reparations. They believe the remedy is fair and hope it will finally bring closure to the long-debated issue.
Tentatively called The Equalization Act of 2002, it weighs the disenfranchisement of Native Americans, the institution of slavery, indenturment of Asian, Irish and Eastern European workers, exploitation of child labor, and questionable treatment regarding numerous other immigrant, minority and gender groups during the 18th and 19th Centuries.
Based on calculation from the Federal Accounting Office, the formula takes into consideration generational dispersion and historic reapportionment based on accepted redistribution theories.
The Treasury went on to declare, since there are "no specific living individuals directly entitled" to such reparations, they will simply issue a check for $15,000 to Tiger Woods.
