Madison, WI — Carolyne Lactose, spokesmodel for the North American Dairy Council, says the group plans to make public the results of its investigation into allegations against its president.
The scandal known as Uddergate centers around decades-long trafficking in raw milk and underaged cheese. The Council's president, Donald J. Gorgonzola, has consistently denied any wrongdoing despite photos of him over-indulging in fondue as well as suspect behavior with young calves at a petting zoo.
It has long been alleged that many celebrities and elected officials, including President Gorgonzola, flew to a private island retreat, thus evading dairy product regulation. U.S. Federal Law prohibits the interstate transport of unpasteurized milk for human consumption, and raw milk cheeses must be aged at least sixty days to be legally sold.
The NADC has been criticized for the lack of transparency in conducting its own internal investigation. But Ms. Lactose insists that there is no "master list" of clients and the whole matter is a "witch hunt just like the non-dairy creamer hoax of our president's first term." Exactly when heavily-redacted cheese logs will be released was not specified.
