New Retro ICE Uniforms Draw Both Praise And Criticism

New ICE Uniforms

Washington, DC — The debut of U.S. immigration's standard issue apparel, said to "harken back to simpler times," is being met with mixed reviews.

The design is from Carl's Custom Costumers, headquartered in Mississippi, which boasts the 1-size-fits-all uniforms are "100% Made in the USA — from concept to completion." ICE field agents reportedly like them because they're cooler in the Summer heat than their bulky paramilitary gear, with the added advantage of covering their Pillsbury Doughboy physiques.

However, one Republican member of Congress, who asked to remain anonymous, expressed an opinion echoed by many right wing politicians: "Well, sure, ICE is showing up in unmarked cars with their faces covered, targeting people based on skin color, abducting family members at gunpoint with no warrants... but they're not burning crosses or lynching anyone. I think these uniforms are unrepresentative and completely inappropriate."

But Liberals, ordinarily the first to criticize ICE, generally agree the new design "pretty much nails it."
